Morningside Children’s Center was established in 1983 as an outreach ministry of Morningside Church. Our purpose was and continues to be, to serve the families in the surrounding community.
OUR MISSION
Morningside Children’s Center (MCC) is dedicated to providing high-quality child care and education and nurturing children in the neighborhood and the surrounding area, without regard to sex, religion, race, color, creed, or national origin. We seek to create a nurturing environment with an educational program that is appropriate for each child’s developmental level. We recognize that learning is best served through active exploration, self-initiated projects, and guidance from teachers who pick up clues from the interests which children display.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the center is to provide children with a learning environment that is conducive to growth and development, to encourage a lively awareness of God’s love for the child and his or her parents, and to provide full-time, reliable child care for working parents.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our over-riding objective is to provide students with the finest education in a positive, loving, learning environment.
Our constant challenge is to provide for optimal growth and development of children by:
Helping them develop spiritually, socially, physically, intellectually, and emotionally.
Providing positive age-appropriate individual and group experiences.
Having many opportunities to learn through exploration, imitation, repetition, and participation.
WHERE WE ARE GOING
MPCC has a lot to offer its community, but we believe we can do more. We are dreaming and envisioning big ideas. However, no matter what comes our way, we will always strive to serve our community, love every single child that comes through our doors, and provide a professional and safe place for your children.
We believe that children learn through “hands-on” experiences. Activities are designed to develop competence, independence, and self-esteem. We provide an environment that guides and supports children’s natural inclination to challenge themselves, to be creative, and to grow in understanding the world around them.
